In July 2014, Ariana travelled with Naomi Natalya Eva Marie Rosa Mendes Summer Rae to take against Nikki Bella in a six-on-one handicap contest. Ariana showed up with the intention of tackling Nikki Bella as well as Naomi. The Battleground preshow was a battle between her and Naomi. Ariana was victorious. The result brought about their feud.
